We have redesigned our property details page!

We have launched our new redesigned property details page across the site.

A lot has changed! Aesthetically, it looks fresher with a cleaner layout. Our Developers have been working feverishly over the last few months to achieve a different, functional, contemporary look.

Here is a snapshot of improvements.

The first thing you notice is that the property photographs take centre stage on the page. The first image is larger with the introduction of thumbnails beneath. You can take a look inside the property and see if it's the one for you. So, remember photographs are of utmost importance!

We have made the ‘Contact Advertiser’ details more visible to the right of the photographs. There is also a text box to email the Advertiser.

Also made more visible are functions 'Save Ad', 'Share with Friends', 'Print this Page' and 'Report this Ad'

For the many tweeters among us- we have made it more visible on the top right hand side to tweet and share the ad on Facebook

The introduction of tabs has made it easier to evaluate the property in one fowl swoop. In the property overview tab, you can get the key details of the property at a quick glance and see where it's located. If you want to go in to more detail on the property, clicking "Show more information" will show you all of the description which the advertiser has shared, which could be anything from details of the local area right down to the measurements of the en-suite bathroom! Maneuvering across, there is Map, Street View and Other Properties in the Area. Always a handy feature if the property in question is not suitable.

We hope this makes life easier for you and you find our new design easier on the eye!

As always, we welcome all feedback!

The new features are fantastic. I have highlighted one area on a few occasions to your Company and this is your student market which is a substantial market. On each occasion I was told there were no plans to develop this sector. The present system does not allow the client access directly to student accommodation. This is very frustrating for the client as it lists all properties in a particular town/city and more ofter includes properties which are not suitable for students or are situated a distance from the College (important in the colleges based outside Dublin where there is no public transport)

Guys, what have you done with the maps?! The similar properties functionality on the map was just amazing, I was using daft.ie only because of it. Now it's useless and pretty much the same as the other real estate sites....

@Viaceslavas - on the map tab, the "similar properties" functionality is still available via a checkbox at the bottom of the map, along with nearby shops, restaurants and doctors.

just one thing about the maps:

By default it should be zoomed out a reasonable distance so that you can SEE the surrounding area and get at least some idea of where the property is geographically.

At the moment it is (by default) zoomed in all the way, which will then require the customer to zoom out several times.

This can be tedious if -for example like me- you need to move to the EAST of county Galway and you then have to constantly zoom out on the map for every single property to make sure that the property is not in Connemara.

Alternatively I could have studied harder when we learnt the counties & towns of Galway back in Primary School, but then again, that's why we have the internet...

Daft is an excellent website especially with the improvements. One suggestion for the My Daft saved listings: make it possible for viewers to add their own notes for each residence added to their saved listings. For example a viewer might want to note "called Colin and will view Tuesday at 4 pm" or "interesting but back garden not enclosed, not what I want for the children" or "fantastic looks like the one!!"
